Apple iPhone 2017 Pro (or iPhone 8) will ship with OLED display. However, the integration of OLED display will be only for the iPhone Pro model. There are rumors that Apple had decided to make use of the OLED display in iPhone 7, but the Cupertino-based company had postponed it for next year. This is because Apple has decided to celebrate its 10th anniversary of iPhone in a grand style. In 2016, you can expect the launch of iPhone 7 and iPhone Plus. However, the iPhone Pro will be launched only in 2017 and not this year as previously rumored across tech circles. To add more spice, the iPhone Pro model expected to be unveiled in 2017 will feature a curved OLED display. The device will offer a 5.5-inch display with OLED curved panel with slightly bent edges. However, the traditional iPhone and iPhone Plus will ship with standard LED IPS panels.
Apple iPhone 2017 Pro will have all-glass OLED display
According to a popular tech portal, the iPhone Pro 2017 will ship with a glass body and edge-to-edge OLED display. Moreover, it will also ship with an integrated Touch ID fingerprint sensor and front-facing camera. Meanwhile, Nikkei has confirmed the previous reports that iPhone 2017 will be shipped with an all-glass display with a metal bezel. There are reports that Foxconn has been working hard to create the new capability in time to make the Apple’s 10th anniversary a grand success.
Apple iPhone 2017 Pro – A11 processor
Apple will also integrate an enhanced A11 processor, which will have reduced heating without sacrificing performance. Expected to be shipped with an A11 processor, Apple is in the process of obtaining the certification before the end of December 2016. TSMC will manufacture the new A11 processor. According to sources, the first set of 10-nanometer chips will be sent to Apple for validation purpose during the first quarter of 2017. The A11 processor will be smaller in size with an Intel LTE modem bundled into it. There are reports that Apple will tie-up with Intel to manufacture LTE modem in both 2016 and 2017.
Apple iPhone 2017 Pro – Wireless Charging
According to rumors, Apple is working on to develop a long-range wireless charging technology. This will be implemented in the iPhone 2017. If the rumors turn out to be true, you need not have to keep the devices close to a charging source or mat. However, Apple has to deal with few hurdles such as the loss of power transfer. This will occur when the distance between the transmitter and the receiver are increased. If the device and charging unit are at large distance, it will cause batteries to drain. Moreover, the whole charging process will be slow.
In all probability, Apple iPhone 2017 will provide support for wireless charging since the company has been hiring engineers specialized in wireless power systems. In iPhone 7, Apple is all set to ditch the headphone jack to accommodate a Lightning port connector.
Elimination of home button and Other Features
Apple will eliminate the traditional home button in iPhone 2017. You have to make use of the controls visible on the display. There are reports that Apple will infuse facial recognition or iris scanning in iPhone 2017. Samsung has already implemented Iris scanning in Galaxy Note 7. Moreover, the iPhone 8 is expected to ship with NAND flash memory from Samsung.
