Apple ‘Planet of the Apps’ reality TV show aims to fetch top iOS app developers

Apple announced that an unscripted reality TV show named “Planet of the Apps” will be aired by the middle of January 2017. Aimed to target popular iOS app developers, an open call launched early this week has announced that the show requires 100 of the world’s most talented app creators.

As part of the initial nomination process, participants should provide information about the app(s) they have created including a one-minute video profile of the app creator. If the app is created by a team of developers, then the video should showcase all of them.

If your application is accepted, you will be eligible to receive guidance from experts in tech and entertainment. If you make it to the final round, you will interact with top venture capital investors who will pump their money up to $10 million over the duration of the show. Moreover, selected apps will be offered featured placement in the official App store at the end of the show including the potential to reach millions of viewers.

To participate in Planet of the Apps, you should apply online until August 26 and agree to have an iOS, macOS, tvOS or watchOS app in a beta state by October 21 to enable judges to watch them.
