MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA- Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) Google Docs is part of Google’s productivity suite, and it is being used by millions of people all around the world and for all kinds of purposes. Students, teachers, businessmen; everyone can get a bit of extra help by conducting a document using Google Docs.
The company of course already knows that and wants to make things more effortless for the users.
Thus, Google released a new update for the Google Docs which adds a few cool features that can actually make our lives much easier.
Voice typing
The first one turns documents into conversations. It is referred to by Google as the “voice typing“ feature and it allows the user to simply tap the mic icon and start talking. Thanks to Google’s long experience and development on voice recognition technology across its product line-ups, the particular tweak comes with no bugs or errors and it is incredibly easy to use whatsoever.
Research tool
A research tool has also been added as well, and yes; you could make researches before the update, but you had to open a new tab to do so. Now, however, a new window pops up and you can search for images, texts or anything you need, without ever leaving your document.
Last but not least…
The final update to Docs allows you to see all the changes that have been made since the last time you processed the document, even those made by third party members that you have invited via GMail.
The particular update is currently available only on Android – at least for now.
The rest of Google’s productivity suite has also received some worth mentioning updates. More specifically, there is now a range of new templates for Sheets and Slides, a refreshed UI for Google Forms and a new “explore” feature in Sheets that processes the data on the spreadsheet and then creates useful charts automatically.
