HP Elite X3 preorders begin in the US with free HP Display Dock

Pre-Orders for the HP Elite X3 have started in the US with a Free HP Display Dock. The Elite X3 has been dubbed as the most powerful Windows 10 Mobile Smartphone and let us see if it owns up to its reputation. The device was introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2016. The event was also held much earlier this year. However, the company did not release the device in the market. However, it has started selling the Elite X3 in different parts of the world.

Before the launch of the X3, the Lumia 950 XL based on a Snapdragon 810 chipset and Lumia 950 fueled by Snapdragon 808 chipset were deemed as the most powerful Windows 10 Mobile smartphones. The latest Elite X3 is powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset and it is in the same league as the SoC which runs the premium Android phones like the Note 7, S7 Edge, S7, HTC 10, LG G5, Moto Z, etc.

The Windows Mobile 10 OS anniversary is just around the corner, and HTC has used the opportunity to showcase its latest device. However, it needs to be seen if the instrument comes out of the box with the latest Windows Mobile OS or the consumer has to update it later.

HP Elite X3 Specifications: 16 MP camera, Windows OS 10

Coming to its specifications, the device bears a 5.96-inch Quad HD display. It is powered by an SD 820 chipset and is complemented with a 4 GB of RAM. It has a 16 MP primary camera and a front facing 8 MP secondary camera for video chatting and selfies. The device has an iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C Connector along with dual SIM compatibility. It has a massive 4,150 mAh battery and wireless charging abilities.

The device carries a price tag of $799 and is available in the US through the Microsoft Store Website. Consumers who purchase the device through will get a free HP Desk Dock for using it for the Continuum feature of the phone. Shipping of the pre-orders is expected to start from September 12. Microsoft has confirmed that the devices will be available in India as well as Europe, Japan, and Australia.
