An update on the US and Canadian Microsoft Store indicate that pre-orders for the Lumia 950 XL Windows 10 Mobile-powered handset have been sold out, without any further info currently at hand.
As we reported earlier this week, the Redmond giant has rolled out its latest prides, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, to the US and Canadian market for pre-order, with shipment date depending on the time of pre-order.
Customers who placed their pre-order until yesterday will have the handset all set by November 25, while shipping for the ones who pre-ordered a few hours before the sell-out is estimated for December 11.
It has been two days since the Lumia 950 and 950 XL have been launched and the majority of the said units have been already sealed for pre-order, as Microsoft has replaced the ‘pre-order’ button in the US and CA store, with an ‘Email me when available‘ version.
It is worth noting that, as we are writing this story, the smaller sibling of the series, the Lumia 950, is still available in the Canadian Microsoft store.

The particular event applies to both the AT&T-locked and unlocked variants of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The American tech giant has not issued a comment yet, regarding when does it estimate to refill its pre-launch inventory, though we assume that Microsoft will have the situation under control by next week.
As far as specs go, the phablet sports a humongous 5.7-inch display, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (~518 ppi pixel density), covered by the new corning Gorilla Glass 4, for ultimate scratch and shutter protection.
Underneath the hood, the 950 XL is being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor housing eight cores, four clocked at 1.5GHz and the rest at 2GHz, coupled with Adreno 430 GPU.
In addition to the above, in order to accommodate the 5.7-inch display, Microsoft has equipped the smartphone with a whopping 3340 mAh battery.
