Rocket League, Psyonix’s follow-up to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, made an announcement which most of us have been expecting for quite some time now- the latest Chaos Run DLC is coming next month, in December.
But, while the same share of people would expect the announcement to reveal that the title will become available to other platforms as well, we end up with a handful of new car customization options. All of them seem to be inspired by the brutal post-apocalyptic wastelands seen in Mad Max. In other words, the Chaos Run DLC for Rocket League will include all sorts of badass goodies inspired by the end of all civilized things.
PlayStation Blog reads: “…our fantastic new “Chaos Run” DLC will include all sorts of badass goodies inspired by the end of all civilized things, including…
- 2 New Battle-Cars, Ripper and Grog
- 12 New Decals (six for each new Battle-Car)
- 2 New Paint Types (Camo and Sun-Damaged)
- 2 New Wheels (Ripper and Grog)
- 2 New Rocket Trails (Sandstorm, Nuts and Bolts)
- 3 New Toppers (Boombox, Cow Skull, Mohawk)
- 3 New Antennas (Bomb Pole, Radioactive, Retro Ball – Wasteland)
- 5 New Trophies
Another interesting addition is the Wasteland, a new arena that goes hand in hand with the new theme and is the first Rocket League field to break the mold, featuring a sloped perimeter, a wider pitch, and different boost locations.
As always, our paid DLC will also ship with a free new arena called Wasteland! Based on a field of the same name from the original Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Wasteland is the first “non-regulation” pitch to come to Rocket League.
The game will retail for $3.99 and ship sometime in early December.
The more loyal gamers to the title will find it a tad harder to wait until the required date so, until then, take a look at the trailer and start warming up for the new cars and arenas!
