Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Here’s how you can watch announcement live

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled at 11AM ET (8.30PM IST) on August 2 in New York, with simultaneous events in London and Rio de Janeiro. Like the OnePlus 3 launch event, Samsung will also live stream the event in 360-degrees. You can watch the live event from anywhere in the world using your mobile and desktop. Alternatively, you can watch the event directly from within your Gear VR headset.

If you are using mobile, you can either navigate to http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/ or via the official Samsung Mobile YouTube channel.

You can straight away tap on the YouTube app on your Android device and search for Samsung Mobile official channel. Make sure to fully charge the device since the whole launch event will last for over 2 hours.

If you wish to view the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launch event from your laptop or desktop, you can directly navigate to http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/. As of writing this, we can see a title “The Next Galaxy is Arriving” with “7 Unpacked 2016” as a subtitle.

Samsung has gone one step ahead by showcasing the Galaxy Note 7 launch event via the VR headset. You can watch the event live with your Gear VR headset using the Unpacked 360 View app. You need to navigate to the Oculus store to download and locate the app.

Recently, OnePlus 3 was launched via Loop VR headsets. The company distributed several headsets via flash sale for a nominal charge . However, Samsung hasn’t distributed any headsets. However, there are reports that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be bundled with Gear VR headset and 256GB SD card for free.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Specifications

Just before the official launch, the press renders of Galaxy Note 7 was leaked on Twitter. According to reports, the device will feature a 5.8-inch 2K QHD SAMOLED curved edge Gorilla Glass 5 protected display, Snapdragon 821/Exynos 8893 processor, 4GB RAM, 12MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and OIS paired with a 5MP front-facing snapper.

The new smartphone will be powered by a 3600mAh battery with fast charging technology. Expected to be loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB internal storage variants. Moreover, the camera will offer dual-pixel technology for both rear and front sensors.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be priced at EUR 849, while the Gear VR headset will be priced at USD 90. We expect Samsung to provide the VR headset free to all customers who pre-order the device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is also expected to ship with an Iris scanner, which enables you to make use of your eyes for unlocking the device. The new device will also feature Samsung Grace UX interface.
