Street Fighter V beta now live on PlayStation 4 and PC with Steam support

The fifth installment of the legendary Street Fighter video game series is now available as beta for Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PC on Steam.

The video game’s release date has been scheduled for some time during 2016, though no precise day has been provided by Capcom yet.

Besides the much-anticipated Windows support, the game maker has announced yet another exciting news, as the Street Fighter V will be accompanied with full Steam support.

The beta version, which has just opened to public, lets users solely make use of the Steam Controller, though when the time of the official debut comes, the entire package of Steam’s features will come in as well.

In a few words, besides the lovely Steam Controler, Steam OS support will be there as well, that way running the actual video game on a Steam Machine without the need to stream.

Capcom’s respective press release about the event reads as following:

Hey everyone. I’m excited to announce that Street Fighter V will be officially supporting Steam OS! We are working closely with Valve on this endeavor, and will have more details to announce in the near future, so stay tuned for updates.

Street Fighter V will also support the Steam controller, and you’ll be able to try that out right away during the upcoming beta test that takes place from December 18~20.

See you all online!
