Activision’s new patch of the skateboarding video game title Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, received the new 1.03 patch for PlayStation 4, that is expected to fix all major issues that gamers have been grappling with.
The patch rolled out two months after the original title’s release and it weighs 7.8GB, which should be enough to increase customer satisfaction.
It features new levels, character campaigns, and some modest tweaks to the game itself. The new levels have also been boosted with a couple of more extra challenges, but don’t get your hopes up, because it is nothing out of the blue really; more or less we’re talking about rehashes of challenges found in previous levels. Yet, all levels now have been given the addition of Likes and Dislikes.
As for the character campaigns, there are some notable additions such as Tyler the Creator and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Despite all those new gimmicks, players have been looking forward not only for new features, but for a patch that would resolve all the major bugs found in the title.
Unfortunately, the patch notes do not feature any relevant remarks, yet there are some character textures and alternations to the game mentioned. The developer is also said to have enhanced the lighting and visuals for several levels, as well as physics and mechanics.
Moreover, a special meter that acts when a single combo is performed has also been incorporated, along with Per-Mission leaderboards, the option to “Return to Freeskate” while in a Mission/Mode, or even while searching for another player for Co-op Mission/Mode.
Extra options have been given to the user interface too, such as the implementation of a double-tapping grind button, which activates the slam technique, while you now have the ability to opt in and out of a global voice chat as well.
Last but not least, three new modes have been included thanks to the patch: Manual Mayhem, Skate Hoarding and Daily Grind.
