BERLIN, GERMANY- ZTE Corporation, (NASDAQ: ZTCOF) The ZTE Axon Elite belongs to the premium range of the smartphone market and made its first appearance at the IFA 2015, in Berlin. Technology wise, there are plenty of interesting features to mention for this smartphone, which is truly a positive turnaround by ZTE.
The dual sim Axon Elite appears to have similar technical features to the original ZTE Axon, or better known as ZTE Axon Pro, which launched in the US this July. More specifically, the Axon Elite comes with a full HD 1080p 5.5-inch screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 housing four cores clocked at 1.5GHz and another four at 2GHz, Adreno 430 GPU, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that can be later expanded to 128 GB using a microSD card.
With a bit of research you can see for yourself that the main difference between the two smartphones is the resolution (the Axon Pro has a 1440 x 2560 resolution)- but still, the Axon Elite does not back off, as it features a few impressive biometric authentication methods that its little sibling does not boast, such as a fingerprint scanner and a voice and eye-scanning sensor.
On the back side there is a 13MP camera while on the front an 8-megapixel shooter has been embed thus taking some pretty good looking selfies. In addition, the primary camera has a double lens and is escorted by an additional 2MP camera. The fingerprint sensor is located just below the back camera.
The battery is 3000mAh and supports some of the newest and more advanced charging technologies that make the phone ready to go in less than two hours. The handset will come with Google’s latest version of Lolipop, 5.1.1, straight out of the box.
The overall design of the ZTE Axon Elite has been worked on, adding a touch of luxury. The device will be available in the European markets for an affordable price of approximately 420 euros off contract.
